3.9 M earthquake occurred in Lembata, East Nusa Tenggara, Terasa to East Flores

Magnitude earthquake (M) 3.9 occurred in Lembata, East Nusa Tenggara. This earthquake was felt as far as East Flores.The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) informed the earthquake that occurred at 14:35 WIB. The earthquake is centered on the sea.

The point of the earthquake was at coordinates 8.56 south latitude and 123.33 east longitude. The earthquake was centered at a depth of 10 km.Earthquakes can occur at any time, without knowing the season. However, earthquake concentrations tend to occur in certain places, such as the Pacific Plate boundary. This place is known for its ring of fire because of the many volcanoes.
